Craft Ideas to Make With Toilet Training Coloring Sheets

Learning to use the potty doesn’t have to be a chore. Thanks to these imaginative craft ideas using toilet training coloring pages, the experience can be fun, too! From potty training charts to motivational posters, we have everything to excite little ones about becoming a big kid.

Turn your bathroom into a motivational art gallery to encourage toddlers to use the toilet. Have your little girl or boy color illustrations. Write inspirational quotes, positive affirmations, or a little tip on each one.  Hang the designs in the bathroom at eye level for your child to see. Update the gallery with new artwork as your child progresses. This bathroom gallery is a constant source of encouragement and confidence boost in your son’s or daughter’s potty training journey.

2. Throne-Themed Treats

Make cheeky cupcake toppers for a potty party that will have everyone giggling! Start by selecting fun toilet training coloring sheets and have little hands color them. Cut out small shapes and designs from the illustrations. Laminate the cutouts to protect them. Attach each cutout to a toothpick using tape. Insert your creative toppers into cupcakes with brown frosting to look like, well, you know, for a hilarious and memorable party highlight.

3. Potty Progress

Craft a chart that turns each successful potty visit into a celebration. Select your favorite designs and color them brightly.  Glue the colored pages vertically on a long strip of paper. Mark potty training milestones along the edge. Place stickers on the chart each time the potty is used successfully. This potty chart is a fun way to recognize your little one’s progress, marking each big day with joy.

4. Quest for the Potty Throne

Invent a board game that makes learning to use the toilet a blast. Print and color a sheet on A4 or A3 paper to create the game board.  Use a marker to draw a path with steps and challenges along the toilet training journey. Create game pieces from additional colored designs or use toys. Write simple actions or questions related to potty training on cards to use during the game. Play the board game for the perfect opportunity to learn how to use the toilet in a fun and engaging way.

5. Legends of the Little Potty Chair

Design a storybook that narrates your child’s successful potty chair use. Choose coloring pages that best display the potty training adventure. Write part of the story on the back of each colored page. Staple the pages together to create the book. Read the storybook together, reinforcing the potty training journey’s milestones.

6. Toilet Triumph Tokens

Turn coloring sheets into rewarding coupons to make a big deal of toileting successes. Print drawings on cardstock at 25-50% scale. Color and trim the designs to create individual coupons. Write a reward or small treat on each token, such as ice cream, a movie night, or a trip to the park. Laminate the coupons for repeated use. Hand out a coupon for each potty success, providing motivation and making toilet training so much fun!

7. Potty Prompt Cards

Develop educational flashcards as a great way to support children in learning how to use the toilet. Choose images related to toilet training, print at 25% scale, and color them in. Write words or phrases related to potty training on the back of each card.  Laminate the cards to ensure they last through the learning process. Play memory matching or vocabulary games with these flashcards to reinforce potty training concepts.

8. Royal Flush

Craft a crown to celebrate the victories of using the toilet. Color your favorite illustration and cut out the main design. Measure and cut a long piece of cardstock to fit around the child’s head. Staple the headband so that it’s a comfortable fit.  Glue the colored cutout to the strip of cardstock. Add extra decorations like stickers, glitter, or sequins. This potty training crown is perfect for celebrating every victory, making your child feel like royalty on their toilet throne.

9. Privacy Poster

Create fun door hangers to show the bathroom is in use for important training. Fill two toilet-themed coloring pages with vibrant shades.  Glue the blank sides together so your colored designs show on each side. Write “In Use” on one side and “All Done!” on the other. Laminate the sign for durability, punch a hole at the top, and thread a ribbon through. Hang your handmade hanger on the bathroom door for a playful way to teach young kids about privacy and signal the use of the potty seat.

10. Potty Passport

Make a customized certificate to give to a child who has mastered toileting.  Choose your favorite coloring page and have your little one fill it with different shades.  On the back, write “Potty Passport,” the child’s name, and the date of their achievement. Add stickers for extra decoration.  Present the passport to your child to celebrate nighttime potty training or the end of the toilet training journey.
